William J. Daugherty served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps before joiningthe Central Intelligence Agency where he served as an operations officer forseventeen years. Dr. Daugherty is Professor Emeritus of Government at theUniversity of California-Irvine, USA. He lives in Savannah, Georgia.
