Teresa C. Zackodnik is a professor in the Department of English and Film Studies at the University of Alberta in Canada. She is editor of the six-volume collection African American Feminisms, 1828—1923 and of "We Must Be Up and Doing": A Reader in Early African American Feminisms, and author of The Mulatta and the Politics of Race.
