LUCY SUSSEX is a Senior Research Fellow at Melbourne University, Australia, with interests in Victoriana, Australiana, crime and women writers. She has published widely, having edited five anthologies, written three short story collections and the award-winning neo-Victorian novel The Scarlet Rider.
