About Robert Rosenblum
Robert Rosenblum (1927–2006) was professor of modern European art at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts and curator of twentieth-century art at the Guggenheim Museum. His books include The Dog in Art: From Rococo to Post-Modernism; Modern Painting and the Northern Romantic Tradition: Friedrich to Rothko; and Cubism and Twentieth Century Art.
