Harry Hudson was the first African American supervisor at the Lockheed- Georgia plant in 1953, USA. Randall L. Patton is a professor of history at Kennesaw State University, USA. He is the author of Shaw Industries: A History and co-author, with David B. Parker, of Carpet Capital: The Rise of a New South Industry (both Georgia).
