About David Owen
David Owen left school to train as a miner at Aberaman Colliery and worked underground at Tylorstown No. 9 until its closure on Friday 15th October 1960. He then transferred to Maerdy No. 3 & No. 4 Colliery where he worked underground for the rest of his career.
