Mary Renck Jalongo also served for several years on an editorial board for The Rockefeller Foundation and the Association for Childhood Education International. Six of her published journal articles have earned national recognition for excellence in scholarly writing. She now works full time as an author and editor. Olivia N. Saracho is a professor of education in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland. She is editor of the Contemporary Perspectives in Early Childhood Education series (Information Age).
