He is the fellow of several professional societies and academies. He was Foreign Secretary and Secretary of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Presently, he is the President of the Agricultural Economics Research Association-India. Dr Joshi represented the Government of India in different high level delegations, such as the SAARC, BRICS, UN-CAPSA and IAASTD.
