Covering a diverse range of media - from tissue paper mosaic to charcoal drawing - this will encourage and develop your child's own creative abilities. The activities are designed for children aged 6 and up, with a range of simple and more challenging activities to suit the abilities of younger and older children. Each of the eight chapters covers a theme, Colour, Black & White, Shapes & Patterns, Animals, Portraits, Landscape, Myths & Legends, and Light & Shade. Each painting is presented in a story format, also including a question and answer section. This is followed by two art activities based on the techniques and visual effects of the painting
