About John Matthews
John Matthews is an Arthurian expert and professional storyteller. He is the author of numerous highly acclaimed books on Arthurian legends and Celtic mythology, and was historical advisor for Touchstone Pictures during the making of King Arthur (2004). John has written many books for Barefoot including The Barefoot Book of Knights (PB with CD: 9781841480169). He lives in Oxford. Pavel Tatarnikov lives in Belarus but spent a year in England while illustrating Arthur of Albion. At the age of eleven, he was selected to train at the State School of Music and Fine Arts in Minsk, Belarus. He has been a member of the Belarusian Artists Union since 1997 and is now an illustrator in the Graphic Department of the Belarusian Academy of Arts.
