About Jay Dale
Jay Dale is the lead author and consultant for Engage Literacy. Jay comes from a teaching background, having taught in both Australia and Japan. She is also an experienced editor and publisher. An accomplished children's book author, Jay has written extensively for leading educational publishers and has many successful titles currently in print. Jay has also authored and published electronic products including teaching objects for interactive whiteboards and digital activities for children. I’m a french author and illustrator. I graduated from the art school Emile Cohl in Lyon in 2007, with a degree in illustration. I’ve been working as a freelance illustrator since then, producing children’s book illustrations for various publishers in several countries, France, UK, USA, Australia, Korea. (Client list includes Penguin books, Ladybird books, Bloomsbury, Capstone, Hinkler books, Oxford university press etc.) I always had a passion for drawing and painting, especially for illustration. It is for me a unique way to express and share, with my own sensitivity. It is a language on its own, and i love that! My favorite technique is drawing ink with quill line, and color pencils for the finishing touches.
