Charlotte Middleton grew up in a village in the Cotswolds. As a child she owned various guinea pigs and they kept sections of her parents' garden lawn very well trimmed with their nibbling. Her first book, iTabitha's Terrifically Tough Toothr, was published in 1998 and since then she has written and illustrated more than a dozen books. Her stories have been sold all over the world and Charlotte would love to be as well-travelled as her books one day.
