James Brown filled in a careers questionnaire when he was 13 which told him he was definitely going to be a teacher and an illustrator - and it was right! James grew up in Nottingham where he now lives with his wife, daughters and a cat called Peg. With My Mummy is his first picture book for Macmillan. Cally Johnson-Isaacs has loved to draw ever since she first picked up a crayon. After graduating in Illustration from Newcastle Art College, Cally spent a few years illustrating greetings cards before becoming a freelance illustrator. She now works from her home studio where she has a lovely view of the Northumberland countryside and is kept company by Jasper the dog.
