Dr. Jordi Mongay Batalla received his M.Sc. degree from Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain, 2000) and Ph.D. degree from Warsaw University of Technology (Poland, 2010). Read morehe is an Assistant Professor and provides research in Internet protocols and applications, especially multimedia delivery and IPTV, Internet of Things and Smart Cities. He has written more than 100 research papers in known international journals and conferences and he is part of the editorial board of several journals and an active reviewer in renowned scientific international journals. Dr. George Mastorakis received his B.Eng. (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology) in 2000, his M.Sc. in Telecommunications from UCL (University College London) in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Telecommunications from University of the Aegean in 2008. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Technological Educational Institute of Crete in Greece and as a research associate in Research & Development of Telecommunications Systems Laboratory at Centre for Technological Research of Crete. He has actively participated in a large number of EU funded research projects (FP6, FP7 Horizon2020) and national research ones. He has also acted as a technical manager in many research projects funded by GSRT (General Secretariat for Research & Technology, Ministry of Development, Greece). He has more than 180 publications at various international conferences proceedings, workshops, scientific journals and book chapters. He is an editor of Journal of Networks and has acted as a reviewer for several scientific journals and member of conferences technical program committees. His research interests include cognitive radio networks, IoT applications, IoE architectures, radio resource management, interactive television broadcasting, networking traffic analysis, end-to-end QoS, 5G mobile networks, dynamic bandwidth management and energy-efficiency networks. Dr. Constandinos X. Mavromoustakis is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. He received a five-year dipl.Eng (BSc, BEng, MEng) in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Technical University of Crete, Greece, MSc in Telecommunications from University College of London, UK, and his PhD from the department of Informatics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Professor Mavromoustakis is leading the Mobile Systems Lab. at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Nicosia, dealing with design and implementation of hybrid wireless testbed environments and MP2P systems, Cyber-Physical and IoT configurations and smart applications, as wellas high performance cloud and mobile cloud computing (MCC) systems, design/modeling of mobile computing environments including porotypes for wearables for smart living, and protocol development and deployment for large-scale heterogeneous systems. Prof. Mavromoustakis is an active member (vice-chair) of IEEE/ R8 regional Cyprus section since Jan. 2016, and since May 2009 he serves as the Chair of C16 Computer Society Chapter of the Cyprus IEEE section. Prof. Mavromoustakis has a dense research work outcome in Distributed Mobile Systems and spatio-temporal scheduling, consisting of numerous refereed publications including several Books (IDEA/IGI, Springer and Elsevier). He has served as a consultant to many industrial bodies (ie. member of the Technical Experts for Internet of Things-IoT competition at Intel Corporation LLC for the ChallengeMe etc.), and he is a management member of IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Radio Communications Committee (RCC) and a board member the IEEE-SAStandards IEEE SCC42 WG2040 whereas, he has served as track Chair and co-Chair of various flagship IEEE International Conferences (including AINA, IWCMC, ICC, GlobeCom, IEEE Internet of Things etc). Dr. Evangelos Pallis is Associate Professor in the Informatics Engineering department at TEI of Crete, acting as director of the Network Engineering division, Head of the Research and Development of Telecommunications Systems laboratory (PASIPHAE) and departmental coordinator for the ERASMUS+ programme. His research interests are in the fields of wireless networks and mobile telecommunications, linear and interactive broadcasting, network management and QoS, as well as in service/network virtualization over SDN/NFV infrastructures. He has participated in more than 30 National and EU-funded R&D projects, acting as technical and/or scientific coordinator. Dr. Pallis holds the General Chair of the bi-annual International Conference on telecommunications and Multimedia (TEMU), which is technical co-sponsored by IEEE/ComSoc, is member of the IEEE/ComSoc, editorial board member (regional editor) for the Information Technology Journal and the Research Journal of Information Technology of Science Alert, active reviewer in scientific journals, and distinguished member of the “Union of Regional Televisions of Greece”.
