When Grace O'Brien wakes up with more than just a hangover, she has reason to worry. She's in bed with Bernard O'Malley, newest addition to IT. He's not going to be easy to explain to Shane, gorgeous boyfriend of nearly two years. Shane may be distracted with his high-flying city job but he was there when it mattered. Like that night in Spain, when tragedy struck and her brother Patrick died.

So Grace is determined to put all guilty thoughts of Bernard O'Malley out of her head. With her sister's upcoming nuptials, strange goings-on at work, and a loved-up flatmate, she has enough to keep her busy. Then things get a little more complicated when she meets her flatmate's new man ...

Tensions mount as her sister's wedding day nears and Grace is finally forced to face up to things. Starting with Patrick's death - and how her mother still blames her for what happened.

Saving Grace is a sharply observed, touching and hilariously funny story with an unforgettable heroine who will stay with you long after you've finished reading.

About Ciara Geraghty
Ciara Geraghty started writing three years ago. She had intended on signing up for a pottery course but got distracted when she thought she saw Dylan Moran putting his name down for the Yoga for Pregnancy course. Instead of ticking Box 4 for Pottery for Beginners, she ticked Box 2 for Creative Writing for Beginners and hasn't looked back. She has written numerous short stories, one of which has recently been published in a short story collection, Do The Write Thing. Ciara works part-time in an insurance company and lives with her husband and three children in North County Dublin.

Reviews for Saving Grace
'Hilariously funny and poignant ... accessible and charming ...'
Image magazine
'MOVE OVER MARIAN, IT'S CIARA ... 'Impressive and highly entertaining ... one of the most authentic female characters in women's fiction for a long time ... smart and funny ... a bright new talent ... a new standard for Irish women's fiction.'
Irish Independent
Saving Grace is a page turner, but beautifully written. Its characters are so real and emphatic that not only do you feel you know them, you feverently wish you did. I laughed out loud. I cried too ... I loved it. This Dublin writer is a name to watch.
Irish Examiner
'So funny and so much fun, it's impossible to believe it's Geraghty's first. Warm, moving and hilarious, this is the book that will shield you from even an Irish summer.'
Evening Herald
