About Sue Tingey
Sue Tingey is the author of the fantasy romance series The Soulseer Chronicles and lives with her husband in East Grinstead, West Sussex. She spent twenty-eight years working for a major bank and after taking voluntary redundancy in 2001 spent another fourteen or so years working as a practice manager for an arboricultural consultancy. She has now given up the day job to allegedly spend more time with her husband; he however has noticed that an awful lot more writing appears to be going on. Sue admits that storytelling is her obsession and was thrilled when she was offered a three book deal by Jo Fletcher Books in 2014. Reviews for Marked (The Soulseer Chronicles)
Powerfully creepy
Publishers Weekly
Marked is a gripping and tantalisingly sexy read. I loved the strong-willed psychic protagonist Lucky, as well as the courtly intrigue, terrifying supernatural assassins, and thought-provokingly buff daemon bodyguards. Team Jinx
Holdfast Magazine
Great fun and a delight to read
Upcoming4.me
A beautifully written well flowing Urban fantasy/fantasy with a terrific story and some really really great characters . . . Mr Kerfuffle and Mr Shenanigans (ha ha brilliant) are simply the best duo I've seen in fantasy fiction for a while.
Liz Loves Books
Marked is instantly absorbing . . . will certainly leave a lasting impression.
SciFi Now
Good for fans of Laini Taylor . . . and Deborah Harkness, Marked is magical and other worldly without losing the feeling of wonder that comes with having human narration and worries in a world that doesn't make sense any more.
Catriona M, Waterstones
I loved this book. The characters, the atmosphere, the humour, the romance, it all worked. Marked is a wonderful debut for Tingey
A Fantastical Librarian
Any Neil Gaiman fan should feel right at home with the style of this book, as it's smartly and compellingly written with some confident prose. 8/10.
The Fictional Hangout
This is the kind of story that sucks readers in very quickly and you end up completely losing track of time while you're reading . . . Marked is a fantastic start to this new series
Feeling Fictional
I was enthralled. A strong and interesting debut
Draumr Kopa Blog
Tantalising, sexy, witty, fun and fresh. Marked is the perfect read for any romance fans looking to dip their toe into the worlds of science fiction and fantasy!
Bookends
Marked reads like a PG-13 version of the Sookie Stackhouse series, combined with some of the sinister and thought-provoking undertones of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere.
Booklist, starred review
This is great fun . . . an enjoyable urban romp. And I'm very much looking forward to the sequel to see what happens next

Clockwork Origin Productions
A thrill ride to the very end. The intrigue and action began immediately, drawing the reader in and keeping their eyes glued to the pages . . . I cannot wait to see where it goes from here
Fangirls Read It First
Compelling, debut, urban fantasy . . . this is a brisk paranormal tale, with outstanding world-building, a large cast of well drawn characters, and an intricate plot, filled with intrigue and adventure.
RA for All
This is great fun. I really like Lucky. Feisty, with plenty of edge, which she needs when being regularly ambushed by ghosts. I enjoyed the way the book quickly shifts from the tense, opening scene into another direction entirely.
Brain Fluff
I absolutely loved this book!! I got so stuck into it that I read it in just a few hours. Not only is the author wonderful, but she is also hilarious and capable of writing the story of a strong female lead
