Daniel Hyland is a bi-lingual author, poet, artist, and musician. He has published collections of poetry and short stories Ecos de Aganipe, and Anecdotas de un Extranjero en El Salvador. Jasmine's War draws on his own long history of work in Central America, as well as his wider family's experiences of the Salvadoran conflict. He now lives in Birmingham.
