"The Feng Shui Diaries" are an account of the activities of Richard Ashworth, one of Britain's very few feng shui men: touching, informative, and very funny. They cover the human stories of why people call him in and what changes as a result. In his own words; "Sometimes I move a mirror, sometimes furniture. Usually I place water very precisely. Generally, I talk a lot. Stuckness, depression, addiction, ovarian cysts, infertility, lack of success are all grist to the mill, but above all, relationships: Moira wanted to be free of her ex-husband. I suggested the first step might be to stop sleeping with him. The house was full of shields and discs, yang metal symbols that in Chinese terms mean "mature man". Simply putting these on e-bay would move mountains." "The Feng Shui Diaries" shows how feng shui works for ordinary people in ordinary situations. There is nothing intimidating or inexplicable about it. And even if you don't follow the practice, they're a good laugh.

Reviews for The Feng Shui Diaries
'I gave Richard Ashworth six numbers (my date of birth)and he gave me back the most astonishing picture of my life - both how it was then and, - with a clarity that still takes my breath away, - how it could be. Richard's brand of Feng Shui is not about your cushions; this guy tackles your most personal issues in a way that inspires both confidence and awe in equal measure. He partners you through this process of self-exploration and growth and leads you out the other side with demons conquered, life issues resolved. He says that our houses are metaphors for ourselves; sometimes he moves the furniture around. WARNING: he may make you cry.' Gillian Anderson, star of the X-Files 'Some people stand out among their peers. Richard is a scholar with a thirst for knowledge, superb consultant and healer who genuinely cares about his clients, successful media presenter and exemplary parent, all of which he manages with unassuming modesty and a wicked sense of fun.' Gill Hale, author of The Feng Shui Encyclopedia 'This is a valuable addition to the available literature on the complex and sometimes elusive study of the fascinating world of the Ba Zi, the Eight Characters which govern our destinies.' Derek Walters, author of The Complete Guide to Chinese Astrology, The Feng Shui Handbook 'I love his wit, wisdom and insights which combine with his amazing knowledge to provide entertaining and resourceful information.' Jon Sandifer, author of Feng Shui Astrology 'There is something about him that makes you feel he could be looking into your soul, never mind your kitchen cupboards.' Surrey Advertiser
