About John Maybery
John Maybery’s trainspotting days began in 1946, when, armed with a trusty ABC locospotters guide, he began to record the locomotives he saw on the Great Western Railway. He has seen the days of steam come and go, and the preservation scene start from small beginnings to the busyheritage lines of today. He lives in Barnstaple.
