Harris's research makes an extensive and impressive use of archival material, mostly American, but also including translated Vietnamese documents.
Marine Corps History Harris has written what is now the standard text on operations in the Central Highlands region of South Vietnam in the first half of the Second Indochina War. An excellent study.
