This is a part of the sewing process I have avoided as it scares me so much. The clear pictures and instructions make it seem so much easier.This book is written so that you can design your own items for your own home. It gives you all the basic knowledge of design as well as all the information you need. You are then taking through step-by-step different projects that you can make for your home. There is a fantastic mix of projects. there are so many projects the only thing you'll struggle with is which project to start making. The projects are varied and are designed for different levels of sewer. You can use this book to expand your skills and make beautiful items for your home. I love Erin's style of writing, it makes it so easy to follow. I also love the fact that there are clear pictures and diagrams throughout so that it makes it so much easier to complete your project. I was surprised to see Drapes (curtains) labelled as skill level 3, I am not a highly skilled sewer, but I have made curtains for years. The bed skirt looked more complicated to me but was graded as Skill level 2 as was the duvet cover. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
