Architect and writer Suad Amiry lives in Ramallah where she is director of the Riwaq Center for Architectural Conservation. She received the Italian Viareggio-Versilia Prize for Sharon and My Mother-in-Law: Ramallah Diaries in 2004. Suad has written Nothing to Lose But Your Life, also published by Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Publishing. Aiman H. Haddad is a freelance translator. He grew up in Jordan and lives in the USA. He received his Bachelor degree in architecture in 1991 and has been working as a translator since 1997.
