Stanley Price was educated in Dublin and at Cambridge where he read History. He worked as a journalist in London and New York and has written four novels. Since 1970 his writing has been mainly for the theatre and television. He has had four plays produced in London and abroad, including "Moving" and "Why Me?" For television his films "Close ... Read moreRelations", "Genghis Cohn" and "A Royal Scandal" have won international awards. His most recent book was a memoir "Somewhere to Hang My Hat" (2004) Munro Price was born in London, and was educated there and in Cambridge, where he took his PhD. He specializes in eighteenth and early nineteenth-century France, and has lived and taught in Lyon and Paris. He is Professor of Modern European in History at the University of Bradford.
