Elisabeth Ferris is Programme Executive for Uprooted People/Europe with the WCC. She was responsible for research and analysis of refugee issues and for ecumenical Latin American refugee programmes in the refugee service of the WCC from 1985 to 1991, then Research Director of the Life and Peace Institute, Uppsala, Sweden.
