About Chee-Beng Tan
Tan Chee-Beng, formerly with the University of Malaya, is currently Chairperson and Professor at the Department of Anthropology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also Program Director of the Cultural Relations and Identities in East Asia Program at the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies. Tan received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from Cornell University.
