Michael A. Uzendoski is a professor in the Department of Anthropology, History, and Humanities at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), Ecuador, and the author of The Ecology of the Spoken Word: Amazonian Storytelling and Shamanism among the Napo Runa.
