He then joined his family's restoration business, W. J. Cook & Sons, whose clients have included royalty, museums and collectors. Here he developed the retail side of the business. He is a member of The London and Provincial Antique Dealers' Association, and W. J. Cook & Sons is a senior member of the British Antique Furniture Restorers' Association.
