She studied at Università degli Studi di Milano and at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi. After working for public and private institutions in the cultural sector in Italy, she earned her PhD at Ohio State University. She coordinated and taught in the Arts Management program at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and in the fall of 2013 she joined the Arts & Administration program at the University of Oregon. She specializes in cultural policy, cultural planning, and arts management education.
