Postdoctoral research was at the MRC Immunochemistry Unit, Oxford and the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine, Oxford. At Oxford, Geoffrey was also the IBM Fellow, University of Oxford and Research Lecturer of the House, Christ Church College. His early work described human B and T lymphocyte antigens leading to the discovery of the common acute lymphoblastic leukaemia antigen (CD10). This led to designation of the childhood leukaemia as common acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (cALL). His research for many years has concerned the development of blood cells and Geoffrey has proposed the pair-wise model for blood cell development. Show Less
