Two reports from the Commissioners appointed to examine into and investigate all improper practices, irregularities, and abuses, and other misconduct which may have taken place in the execution of the powers and authorities which were given to the said Royal Canal Company, by any Charter, Law or usage, or otherwise howsoever, or which have practiced or committed by the Directors of the said company, or by any officer or officers of the said company, or by an persons who were or had previously been concerned, employed or engaged in managing, conducting or transacting the business of the said company, and also how far the Proprietors or Stockholders of the said company were individually implicated in, or answerable for, any irregularities, abuses, or misconduct of such Directors. Appendices of both reports contain a wealth of information about the Royal Company and the Persons involved with it, including transcripts of all those examined for the purpose of the inquiry, extracts from accounts relating to stock, loans, &c., Detailed lists of Stockholders, Directors, and Creditors.
