About Matt Winter
Matt Winter began his career as a teacher and private tutor where he gained extensive experience working with children with Asperger Syndrome and conducted significant research into supportive intervention techniques. Matt is also actively involved in charity work focused on youth development, support and education. He resides in Wellington, New Zealand. Clare Lawrence is a teacher, autism worker and mother of two children, one of whom has AS. She works closely with schools across the UK, exploring practical solutions for how to make education more accessible for children with AS. Clare lives in Peterborough, UK.

British Journal of Special Education Wonderful! This book is clear, well-written and has some good suggestions. I found all of this book useful in various ways. Matt Winter seems to have an excellent understanding of children with AS and the challenges life can throw at them; he also presents sensible solutions to some of those challenges. If any child with AS goes into the school system I'd recommend this book for the teacher!
Education Otherwise The book is very readable and manages to fit a lot of information into a small space. The author's experience as a primary school teacher means that the suggestions made are ones that can be easily and practically applied in a classroom, with or without additional support.
