About . Ed(S): Lunenburg, Fred C.; Carr, Carolyn S.
Fred C. Lunenburg is professor and senior research fellow in the Center for Research and Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University. He was previously on the faculty in educational administration at the University of Louisville, distinguished visiting professor at the University of Utrecht, and professor and dean of the College of Education at Southern Utah University. Prior to moving to the university, he served as a principal and superintendent of schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Lunenburg has authored or co-authored 17 books and more than 150 articles in education. Carolyn S. Carr is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Education, Department of Educational Policy, Foundations and Administrative Studies at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. She is currently the coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program. She has served as Director of the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at The University of Texas-Pan American, and as Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program at Eastern Washington University. Her research has focused on gender and language issues related to school leadership. Her most recent publications include chapters in Women and Leadership: Creating Balance in Life (1998) and Women Leaders: Structuring Success (1998).
