A very different and interesting book, (it) describes the experiences of sailing a 26-footer in four different areas. Lake Powell is 170 miles long in Nevada and Arizona, with lots of canyons, shallow patches, and a height range of over 100 feet...In the northwest, he explored Puget Sound and the islands around Vancouver. He sailed along the coast of southern California and again explored the off-lying islands. The final section being about Gulf of California... Each narrative section is followed by a comprehensive reference section. If you are ever thinking of doing this sort of thing, this book is a good place to start. Even if you are not, it is a good read.
