He is now part of one of the largest penile cancer teams in the UK. Asif has been actively involved in the diagnosis and management of penile cancer for a number of years. His other areas of interest are priapism, erectile dysfunction, penile reconstructive surgery, and male infertility. He is past President of both the British Society for Sexual Medicine and the Andrology Section of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and is now vice president of the Sexual Dysfunction Association and Treasurer of the European Society for Sexual Medicine. He runs a large multidisciplinary erectile dysfunction service and is Director of the Erectile Dysfunction Clinical Trials Unit. He runs a European training fellowship for penile prosthesis implantation as well as research fellowships studying the molecular biology of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's Disease and priapism.
