Ian Dowbiggin is professor of history at University of Prince Edward Island and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is the author of several books, including The Quest for Mental Health: A Tale of Science, Medicine, Scandal, Sadness and Mass Society and The Sterilization Movement and Global Fertility in the 20th Century.
