"As suggested in the preface, the text is easy to read. The chapters are also peppered with useful pearls about bipolar disorder, particularly regarding treatment approaches for non-medical mental health practitioners." (Journal of Psychiatric Practice, January 2009) "This is an excellent overview of bipolar illness...Treatment interventions including pharmacologic, psychotherapeutic, and psychosocial are explained clearly and concisely. I would highly recommend this book." (Chicago Psychiatry Associates, 2008) "Quinn demonstrates that he is well versed and skillful in presenting the diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder in an organized and clinically relevant way. This text is a competent, thorough and clinically useful guide to the multiple aspects of bipolar diagnosis and treatment. It will be read satisfactorily by both medically trained mental health professionals and psychotherapists alike." (International Society for Bipolar Disorder, Fall 2007)
