He had taken charge of about 200 projects in bridge engineering. The bridges have their unique features. Some bridges are the first form in China or the biggest type in China. For example, Jinma Bridge is the longest single concrete single-plane cable-stayed bridges in the world and Xinghai Bridge is the first double-deck steel truss suspension constructing in the sea in China. Professor Zhe Zhang had published more than 200 research papers and obtained 15 patents in China.
