She subsequently undertook a Research Fellowship in Dermatology at the Center for Research and Training in Skin Diseases and Leprosy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and a Fellowship in Aesthetic and Laser Dermatology (inter-university diploma). She is in the process of completing her PhD in Dermatology at the University of Franche-Comte, Besancon, France. Dr. Fanian is a Board Member of the ICNI Group - French Society of Dermatology and a Member of the International Society of Dermatology, the Laser Group of the French Society of Dermatology, the European Society for Laser Dermatology, the Iran Medical Laser Society, and the Iran Medical Council. Howard I. Maibach is Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is a leading authority in the fields of dermatotoxicology and dermatopharmacology, in which he has conducted much original research and written very extensively, with a total of more than 2,500 publications as lead or co-author. Professor Maibach has served on the editorial boards of more than 30 scientific journals and is a member of many professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the International Commission on Occupational Health.
