About Stephen Edelson
Bernard Rimland (1928-2006), Ph.D., was a psychologist and founder of the Autism Society of America and the Autism Research Institute. Rimland's book, along with Rosalind Oppenheim's "Effective Teaching Methods for Children with Autism," were the very first in the field, both strongly promoted objective, systematic behavioral strategies and both were written by parents.
