K.P.C. Rao is the Principal Scientist and Ethiopia Country Representative with International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). He has lived and worked in Asia and Africa for 30 years conducting research on sustainable management of soil and water resources at both farm and watershed scales, managing climate-induced production risks and improving the livelihood resilience of farming communities.
