Gall (d. 2012) was a Professor of Law at the University of Alberta where he taught constitutional law, civil liberties, and human rights. He served on several boards of directors and co-founded the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights. He was executive director of the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice and the author of the first, second, third and fourth editions of The Canadian Legal System. Patrick D. Bendin is a lawyer with the Canadian Department of Justice where he currently practices in the area of civil litigation.
