This book challenges received notions of ontology in political theory and international relations by offering a psychoanalytically informed critique of depoliticisation in prominent liberal, post-liberal, dialogic and agonistic approaches to pluralism in world politics. Vassilios Paipais is Lecturer in International Relations at the University of St Andrews, UK. He was previously Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He earned a PhD in International Relations from LSE and has published in various leading International Relations journals.
