Fred C. Lunenburg is professor and senior research fellow in the Center for Research and Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University. Lunenburg has authored or co-authored 17 books and more than 150 articles in education. Carolyn S. Carr is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Education, Department of Educational Policy, Foundations and Administrative Studies at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. She is currently the coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program. She has served as Director of the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at The University of Texas-Pan American, and as Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program at Eastern Washington University. Her research has focused on gender and language issues related to school leadership.
