(May and June, 1804)] The Committee was appointed to Inquire into the State of Ireland as to its Circulating Paper, the Specie, and Current Coin, and the Exchange between that part of the United Kingdom and Great Britain. The report opens with the Subject of the Exchange between Great Britain and Ireland, which they considered under three headings: (1) As to the Fact of an unfavourable Exchange existing, and to what extent; (2) As to the Causes which created it: (3) As to the Remedies which could be resorted to for either removing or alleviating the inconveniencies arising from it. The report then goes on to briefly discuss the Specie and Current Coin of Ireland. Appendix contains extensive tables of Statistics and Accounts.
