S. K. Sundaram is an Inamori Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Alfred University (starting from January 1, 2011). On technical front, he has been working on several aspects of advanced transformational materials science and engineering, focused on glass, ceramics, and semiconductors for various applications in energy, environment, health care, and national security. Dr. Sundaram is internationally recognized for interdisciplinary research. He has made over 100 technical presentations, edited/contributed to 11 books, published over 75 peer-reviewed publications and technical reports, mentored/supported over 40 students, and organized/co-organized several national and international symposia on advanced topics in materials science.
