Agotegaray was born in October 1982 in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. She obtained a degree in Biochemistry at the National University of the South, Bahia Blanca and at the same University she defended her doctoral thesis entitled "Coordination Complexes of Copper (II) with Fenoprofen. Chemical, Therapeutics and Toxicology”. She has developed postdoctoral studies at INQUISUR (Institute of Chemistry South), National University of the South, on "Synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles with applications in transportation and controlled release of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs".
