Carl Hester was brought up on Sark in the Channel Islands. He is one of Great Britain's most successful dressage riders, and his exceptional career was crowned by Gold Medal triumph at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Bernadette was formerly a broadcast journalist and researcher specialising in trans-national crime and border security until a law degree intervened.
