The Man Booker Prize: The Longlist 2015
- Details
- 01 August 2015

The recently announced Man Booker Prize Longlist of 13 sees nominees from Ireland, Nigeria, New Zealand and India as well as the UK. The competition was opened up to all writers in the English language during 2014 - effectively lifting the bar on US writers - and this year this pays dividends in the inclusion of no fewer than 5 US nominees.
Previously only writers from the UK, the British Commonwealth and Ireland were eligible. The shortlist will be announced on 15 September, with a winner named on 13 October.
