Ulf Holm is Professor of International Business at the Department of Business Studies at Uppsala University. His research concerns the management of the multinational corporation, in particular the emergence of subsidiary centres of excellence, subsidiary innovation and influence, and transfer of knowledge. He also studies the internationalization of the firm and particularly the process of subsidiary internationalization. His research has been published in several international journals and he has coauthored books on centres of excellence, the embedded multinational and the role of headquarters in the contemporary multinational. Jan Johanson is Professor emeritus of International Business at the Department of Business Studies, Uppsala University, Sweden.
