He serves as a Council Member for the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME), the Co-Editor of Journal of Transport Literature, and a member of the Editorial Board for Maritime Policy and Management. John J. Liu is Professor at the Centre for Transport, Trade and Financial Studies of the City University of Hong Kong, China. He has more than 20 years of extensive teaching, research and consultancy experience in risk and decision analysis of logistics, supply chain and maritime services. After receiving his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Marine Engineering (Ship Building) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, John furthered his studies in Stanford University and Pennsylvania State University, USA, with his Master of Science in Economic Engineering Systems and PhD degree in Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, respectively. He has distinctive experiences in leading and designing executive development programs for senior executives and professionals.
